S

SUSTAINABILITY

From exclusions to impact investing, the scope of responsible investing is wide, so moving more and more in this direction seems essential to NS Partners.  ESG development in our investments has been a gradual process over the past few years. After the launch of NS Impact -our philanthropic action- in 2017, it seemed important to us in 2020 to align investments with our ESG values. We decided to adapt without modifying our DNA. There is a real awareness of the situation we find ourselves in, particularly from a climate change perspective.

We use ESG at different levels and apply a rigorous investment due diligence process that combines a negative and positive screening to assess the attainment of the promoted environmental and social characteristics, with the use of various sustainability indicators for the selection of investments, in order to be able to reduce the investment universe and assess the suitability of the investments in terms of their contribution to the promoted characteristics. In the day-to-day management, and in order to assist the Investment Manager in the identification and selection of the suitable investments within the investment universe, we have created a proprietary rating system called the NScore.
